#USA #DC – A 200-page report has revealed how the Biden administration “zealously” targeted Christians holding traditional biblical views, especially on abortion, gender ideology, and sexuality.
On February 6th, 2025, President Trump signed Executive Order 14202, which formally created an inter-agency task force within the Department of Justice to eradicate anti-Christian bias. The order directs it to review and address alleged unlawful anti-Christian policies, practices, or conduct across the federal government.
According to the report, the Biden administration tolerated privately held beliefs but aggressively pursued actions that limited Christians’ ability to live out their faith, forcing them into conflicts with federal law. Policies often clashed with Christian worldviews, resulting in investigations, fines, prosecutions, and penalties for practicing their religion.
During the Biden administration, the FBI’s Richmond, Virginia field office opened a “Guardian” law enforcement profile on the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) chapel — a traditionalist group supporting the Latin Mass — despite no criminal activity. This stemmed from a January 2023 FBI memo influenced by Southern Poverty Law Center labeling that directed offices to watch “radical-traditionalist” Catholics. The memo was triggered partly by a career criminal informant who briefly attended the chapel. Agents tracked the priest, his family, and church activities.
Then-FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland both called the Richmond memo “appalling,” claiming it led to no formal investigations. The task force, now chaired by Acting AG Todd Blanche, concluded these actions “devastated the lives of many Christian Americans” and emphasized that no one should fear federal punishment for their faith. The report framed this anti-Christian bias as ending under the current Trump administration.
Other examples of how the Biden administration acted in anti-Christian bias have included:
- Aggressive FACE Act prosecutions of peaceful pro-life demonstrators, often with longer sentences than for attacks on pregnancy centers; the school board memo targeting concerned parents.
- Disproportionate fines on Christian universities (e.g., Grand Canyon, Liberty); policies pushing gender ideology in schools and athletics.
- Rollbacks of conscience protections (e.g., forcing participation in abortions); discrimination against faith-based foster/adoption agencies.
- Delays or denials of religious accommodations; uneven application of the Johnson Amendment; scrutiny of churches for sermons or biblical teachings on sexuality.
- Vaccine mandates ignoring exemptions, exclusion of Christians from public programs, pressure on religious employers, and cultural signals like the timing of the 2024 Transgender Day of Visibility proclamation.
The task force’s report has drawn significant attention with many observers highlighting perceived hypocrisy around “saving democracy” rhetoric while criticizing the silence from some Catholic leadership groups like the USCCB. Traditional Catholic communities, especially those attached to the Latin Mass, appear to have been viewed as potential threats due to their counter-cultural stances.
