Description: Narrated by Captain Charles Ryder during the closing days of the Second World War, he recalls his intoxicating 1920s friendship with the charming, troubled Sebastian Flyte at Oxford, and the seductive pull of the aristocratic, Catholic Flyte family and their magnificent estate, Brideshead Castle. What begins as youthful enchantment deepens into complex relationships, especially with Sebastian’s sister Julia, while themes of alcoholism, guilt, faith, and a vanishing aristocratic world unfold.

Lush, nostalgic, and theologically rich, Brideshead Revisited is both a lament for lost beauty and a quiet exploration of redemption.

New Release: The Enemy Within

2024-12-22The Enemy Within by Nicholas Cann has officially released.

Description: Born to immigrant parents, Nicholas Andrew Cann was raised with his sister as non-denominational Christians. The subject of trauma as both a child and adolescent, Nicholas was unable to withstand the symptoms of his own brokenness as it caused him and those around him to suffer from the age of 14-21 years old. From this brokenness, evil and malice began to pour through the cracks of the heart and soul, resulting in further pain to him and others. Although baptized Roman Catholic at 10-years old and graduated from a Roman Catholic high school at 17-years old, Nicholas was not raised Catholic although he had flirted with the Christian faith through adolescence but ultimately rejected the faith due to personal desires. At the age of 21-years old, Nicholas reverted to the Christian faith in search for mercy for his evil actions. Since an adolescent, Nicholas connected his sufferings as though fighting a war, not recognizing later that this conflict was a battle between body and soul, of beast and man, of man versus self.

This novel, Volume I of Nicholas’ journal entries and memoir reflections, encompass his life from 2011-2024; the ages of 13 to 27 years old.
