Vandalism strikes Medjugorje shrine as statue defaced and altar set ablaze
Vandals desecrated sacred sites at the popular Marian pilgrimage destination of Medjugorje overnight on July 27-28th, defacing statues of the Virgin Mary and setting fire to an outdoor altar, authorities and parish officials reported on Tuesday.
